The umbrella-like opening mechanism within the softbox is designed for quick and easy set-ups, which means less wait time for your clients and more time that can be used to focus on other aspects of the shoot. As the center plate is pulled down the rod towards the interchangeable speedring, the connected spokes push the softbox rods out which creates the box shape, once the plate clicks into place the material will be stretched out and the softbox will be ready to use.

I’m interested to buy the EZ softbox with alien bees mount type. I would like to request for another photo with another angle for the alien bees mount. I’m a bit concern if the speed ring that you have would have a space on the side to hold on the 4 clips of alien bees strobe.

Yes it will; the ‘Einstein’ series lights uses the same mount as the White Lighting and Alien Bees, which is the Balcar mount. Thanks and happy shooting!
can the speed rings be changed if I switch lighting systems?
I use calumet travelites but also have some normans and am thinking of replacing them both with White Lightnings…whew.

Hi Claudio; yes, we’ve extended the eggcrate grid offer through 02/04/11!
The AB insert is NOT secure on the Einstein v.1 strobe. It does not seat properly near the screw heads of the Einstein and will fall off with very little effort.
The insert DOES fit properly and is very secure on the Einstein v.2 with the raised center mount.

What is the outer diameter of your speedrings?

Hi Anthony, The outer diameter of all of our speedrings (the part that first into the softbox speedring plate) measures six inches (6in or 15.2mm). Hope this helps, if there is anything else we can do please let us know, thanks and happy shooting!
Hi. Can i use the EZ60″ with Inerfit QL1000 continius Lighting head or it is too hot for the octabox?
Hi Nik, The softbox should work just fine with that light, but we do recommend that you leave the back open for venting.
We purchased a Neweer C-300 Studio light that we are trying to connect to a softbox. The outside diameter of the light is 3.75 inches. We are looking for help identifying which speedring we should purchase. The inside diameter of the one that came with our softbox is 3.5 inches.
The diameter of the bracket it would fit into on the softlight is 6.0 inches.

Need to KNOW ASAP—- will the octobox fit on a Norman 500/500+ head or can I use a speedring I already have, will it fit?
The EZ-Pro softboxes use speedrings that only work on lights that have a bayonet mount (typically those with removable reflectors). From what I can find online the Neewer C-300 lights do not have a bayonet mount for accessories and their reflector is built into the light itself. You would need to get a universal speedring which may not work on the EZ-Pro style of softboxes. Sorry about the delay in response we were out of the office all last week at the NAB trade show and am just now back in the office. We do have the appropriate speedring for the Norman 500 light heads, the speedring inserts run $10 a piece plus shipping. If the speedring insert you have has an outer diameter of 6″ then it should fit the EZ-Pro softboxes.
