Hi Jack, The Gigtube will show the whole image from the rear lcd panel of the 7D (and all other cameras also), the image is just smaller. Hope this helps, if there is anything else we can do please let us know, thanks!

I've the canon 7d. Does the 2.5 inch lcd show the full image that is on the canon's 3 inch lcd, or is it a crop image?

Does anyone take the time to read about the products? Or just start asking questions!

I can tell you this is a great addition. I have used it with a 5D Mark II and it works well, and all the features work also. I sure beats trying to compose a shot with just the camera LCD. It's a great buy.

Hi Jose,
The Gigtube comes with a 6foot cable (approx 1.8meters). We have found additional lengths of cable varying in size up to 50feet (15.24meters) can be found online at various stores, Send an email to info@photoxgear.com letting us know how long you will need and we can recommend some stores to you to purchase them.

Hi Fred,
The Gigtube cables for the Nikon D300, D700, D3, D3x (the GT1N) will work with the D2x. However the Gigtube uses the cameras Live View function to operate as a remote viewing screen. The Nikon D2x does not have Live View, so the Gigtube will only work as a remote firing trigger & review screen.
