EZ-Pro Softboxes
Do you wish your umbrellas had a better spread of diffused light? How about a softbox that is as easy to use as an umbrella? The Pro Studio Solutions uniquely designed softboxes are made with the travelling photographer in mind who wishes for both of these things; our EZ-Pro Softboxes have everything you love in a traditional softbox but with the ease of use and setup of an umbrella!

The umbrella-like opening mechanism within the softbox is designed for quick and easy set-ups, which means less wait time for your clients and more time that can be used to focus on other aspects of the shoot. As the center plate is pulled down the rod towards the interchangeable speedring, the connected spokes push the softbox rods out which creates the box shape, once the plate clicks into place the material will be stretched out and the softbox will be ready to use.

To open, slide softbox from the carrying bag, place the speedring against your torso and reach inside to locate the center plate. Pull the center plate towards you and the softbox will spring open fully ready to use. Attach to your light, install the optional egg crate, and your softboxes are ready for work.

All the softboxes come with two translucent diffusion panels which hook and loop fasten to the inside of the softbox to create the softest light possible. One or both of the diffusion panels can be removed to vary the softness of light to fit your photography needs.
The outside of each box is created with an opaque black surface, the rear of which hook and loop fastens over the speedring to prevent any light from spilling out; no light spill means more light for your subject.

The interior walls have a highly reflective silver lining to bounce and reflect all the light towards your subject with no spill. White interior linings will yellow over time which will tint and change the color of your lights, by using silver you are guaranteed a brilliant white light every time.
The rear of the softbox has a hook and loop fastener which closes over the interchangeable speedring to allow easy access to the bulb or speedring with out taking the softbox off the light. The thumbscrew on the speedring plate can be tightened to lock the softbox in place or loosened to allow the softbox to rotate allowing you to control the shape and direction of the light as needed.

The EZ-Pro Softboxes provide a soft, diffused, even spread of light to cover your subject. The softboxes come in a variety of shapes and sizes to fit your shooting needs.

All of the EZ-Pro softboxes also feature a recessed front lip to allow for optional egg crates (1″ x 1″ – 50 degree) to be added on top of the front diffusion panel; shoot with egg crate and both diffusion panels, egg crate with no diffusion panels, or one of each.
Take down is a snap; simply remove the softbox from the monolight, remove the optional egg crate if installed, release the umbrella-like mechanism from the rear of the softbox (no need to take out the diffusion panels!) and put the entire folded softbox into the carrying bag – simple, quick and easy!

With the included carrying bags the EZ-Pro Softboxes are a wonderful addition for anyone who does location photography.

The EZ-Pro speedrings are interchangeable and simple to use. If you use different brand monolights for studio and location work, the interchangeable speedrings make it easy to use the same softboxes for both.

We carry interchangeable speedrings to fit almost every monolight in production. If you upgrade your monolights in the future, you won’t have to worry about buying new softboxes, you can just purchase a new set of speedrings.

Hello,
Would like to know if you carry a speedring that fits the older Novatron strobes like the 2100c etc. Those are the built in reflector style with a wider diameter. I’m interested in an EZ PRO softbox for my Novatron setup. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.
Ciao
Frankie P.
Hi Frankie,
Unfortunately we do not carry a speedring that fits that particular line of Novatron heads. We do carry a lot of speedrings that fit most of the lights out there, sadly that is one of the few we do not have. If there is anything else we can do for you, please let us know.
Hello,
Was wondering if you carry a speedring that fits the Smith-Victor Flashlite 110i? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Hi Jen,
The Smith-Victor Flashlite 110i does not have a speedring bayonet interface so unfortunately we don’t have anything that will work in the EZ-Pro softbox line. Please email us at info@photoxgear.com and we can work through some other options for you!
Do you carry a speedring for Lumedyne or Quantum flash heads?
Hi Mark,
Not specifically those brands, but if you sent images of the heads to info@photoxgear.com we can try to determine if one the speedrings we have will suit your needs.
For the 60″ octabox, what is the dimension along the axis – from the front of the octabox to the mounting ring in the rear?
Any measurement for the degree of light beam from the front? thanks!
The EZ-Pro 60′ Octagon Softbox is 2 feet deep (front of box to back of speeding plate); the speedring insert chosen will add a few more inches depending on the speedring type. Hope this helps, please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you, thanks and happy shooting!
Totally digg your website thanks a lot for the info
I need a speeding for your Pro Studio Solutions 12 x 56 softbox which fits a PBL HD 160A moonlight.
Do you have speedring to fit Photogenic DR series? I see you have a “Photogenic SR” not sure what that is, I have 1250 DR and 2500 DR.
Is this compatible with the Flashpoint II 620M strobes? The speedring for the Flashpoint II strobes can be seen here: http://www.adorama.com/FP2SR.html
and the 620M strobe can be seen here: http://www.adorama.com/FP620M.html
It is with the Multiblitz Varilux Insert, this insert will fit the Flashpoint II strobes
The Photogenic speedring insert should fit the Photogenic DR lights
Hi Bob, I’m not familiar with that light, but it looks like it will work with the Bowens speedring insert.
