Digital Radio Slave – 10 Channel Kit

SM Development (SMDV) comes to the market with wireless (digital radio frequency) shutter triggers for today’s DSLRs. Their compact, sleek design combined with an excellent operating range makes them a must have for any professional. This amazing radio slave features a 10-channel radio frequency design; making it not only reliable and easy to operate, but also allows the photographer to change the channel if anyone else is using the same frequency so shooting can continue.

Ten channels allow you to keep shooting in the same area as another photographer using a similar set-up by just using a different channel as him. The receiver has a simple toggle on/off switch a power indicator light, signal strength indicator light and low battery indicator light.

The digitally encoded radio signal will work indoors, outdoors, around corners and through walls. The receiver does not need line of sight contact with the transmitter, freeing the photographer up for much more movement and creativity. Plus there is no lag time between triggering and firing as with infra-red trigger units.

The low voltage is safe for all digital and film cameras, power packs, studio strobes and flashes. The transmitter (powered by a type 23A battery, the type you’d find in most garage door openers) has a standard hot shoe mount that can be mounted and triggered from the camera’s hot shoe.

The unit also has a standard PC connection for photographers who wish to connect by PC sync. The PC connection is especially helpful for use with a flash meter. The test button enables triggering of the strobes without firing the camera.

The My Slave 100 unit has approximately a 160 foot range so you can trigger your lights no matter where you’re shooting from.

The receiver can either draw its power from the strobes AC power cord or be switched to DC battery power (AAA batteries) when used with smaller flashes or battery pack units.
